Prevent Crime, South Sulawesi Police Deploy 143 Women Police To Secure Shopping Centers In Makassar

South Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Andi Rian R Djajadi, dispatched 143 female police officers (polwan) to maintain the security and order of shopping centers in Makassar, ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri.

The South Sulawesi Police Chief explained that there was a change in the pattern of security this year. Especially to secure shopping centers and community activity centers.

He explained that hundreds of policewomen would be deployed in 10 modern malls or shopping centers in Makassar. They will patrol and mingle with the community.

"Starting this year, the South Sulawesi Regional Police have assigned policewomen to carry out security at that place, there has been a change in pattern, before it has never been," he explained during the 2024 Ketupat Operations Forces Ceremony at the South Sulawesi Police Headquarters Ceremony Field as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 3.

Regarding the implementation of the standby rally, the South Sulawesi Police Chief as the Head of the Apples conveyed the message from the National Police Chief regarding the TNI-Polri together with stakeholders regarding carrying out Central Operations with the code Ketupat 2024 involving 155,165 personnel, for 13 days from April 4 to 16, 2024.

This operation has begun with KRYD from March 28 to April 3, 2024 and will continue after surgery from April 17 to 23, 2024.

"This deployment of troops is a final check of the readiness for the implementation of Operation Ketupat 2024 as a real commitment to the synergy between the TNI and Polri with related stakeholders in the context of securing homecoming and celebrating Eid al-Fitr 1445 H," said the South Sulawesi Police Chief.
