PDIP No Problem Puan Iftar With TKN Chair, Hasto: Invited Not To Attend?

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto emphasized that it was not a problem for Puan Maharani, Chairman of the PDIP DPP, to break the fast with the Chairman of the National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Rosan Roeslani and Chairman of the MPR Bambang Soesatyo. According to him, this kind of invitation could not be rejected.

"Yes, his name was invited when he was not present. Moreover, iftar together, there is a cult, there is a prayer," Hasto told reporters in the Cikini area, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, April 2.

Puan is present in her capacity as Chair of the DPR who must continue to build political communication, said Hasto. Therefore, there are no problems about opening together.

After breaking the fast together, Hasto said that there was no change in the attitude of the party. "That's something that is in Mbak Puan's capacity as Chairman of the DPR, yes, continue to build political communication," he said.

"But in political communication, the attitude of the PDI-P remains firm in maintaining the Constitution, maintaining democracy that is sovereign by the people and continues to fight for the rule of law and democracy itself," continued the former member of the DPR RI.

Previously, the moment Puan broke her fast with Rosan and Bamsoet was known to be a photo circulating. PDIP speculation will join the Prabowo-Gibran camp and then appear afterwards.

Responding to this, the Commander of the Prabowo-Gibran Territorial TKN, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, admitted that he did not know the news about the joint opening ceremony. However, Doli considered it reasonable because in the month of Ramadan many parties stayed in touch, including those who crossed the 2024 presidential election.

"I just got it from you (news from the media, ed) there was a meeting between Mbak Puan and Pak Rosan, I don't know," said Doli, Monday, April 1.

"(But, red) whether it happens or not and even if it happens, it's okay, it's fine, it's good, it's in the month of Ramadan there's more friendship, especially when it's bukber, it adds to the same reward that I believe in bukber," he continued.
