Only Constitutional Justices Can Ask 4 Ministers At The 2024 Presidential Election Dispute Session

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK) Suhartoyo emphasized that only constitutional judges will ask the four ministers when they provide information at the hearing to prove the dispute over the results of the 2024 general election (PHPU) or dispute over the 2024 presidential election on Friday, April 5.

Suhartoyo is of the view that the article, the fourth, was asked for information for the benefit of the court.

"So only the judges will investigate," said Suhartoyo at the Constitutional Court Building, Jakarta, Monday, April 1.

The four ministers summoned were Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Muhadjir Effendy, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati, and Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini. Then, the Constitutional Court also summoned parties from the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP).

According to Suhartoyo, the summons of the four ministers and DKPP were not to accommodate PHPU applicants for the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (Anies-Cak Imin) and Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD. They were summoned for the benefit of the judge.

"Because this is a statement requested by the court, later we will not provide time for the parties to ask questions," Suhartoyo explained.
