Israel Claims To Have Killed The Commander Of The Anti-missile Unit Of The Hezbollah Elite Troops In An Air Strike

JAKARTA - The Israeli military said it managed to kill a Hezbollah commander in an air strike on a vehicle in Lebanon on Sunday, identifying the figure as Ismail Al-Zin, a commander of the anti-tank missile unit of Radwan Hezbollah Troops.

"Al-Zin is an important source of knowledge about anti-tank missiles and is responsible for dozens of anti-tank missile attacks against civilians, communities and Israel Defense Forces," the Israeli military said.

A source close to Hezbollah said Al-Zin was not a senior figure but confirmed he was a member of the elite unit of Radwan.

So far, Israel has killed about 25 members of the unit, including at least three commanders, such as Wissma Tawil, a senior Hezbollah officer who played a major role in directing his operations in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah began launching rockets from hilltops and villages in southern Lebanon toward Israel on October 8 to support its Palestinian ally Hamas, which carried out cross-border attacks on Israel the day before that sparked fierce Israeli land, air and sea attacks in Israel. Gaza Strip.
