Hasto PDIP Equalizes Gibran With Car Crasher Truck Driver At Halim Toll Gate

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto, also highlighted the successive accident at the Halim Utama Toll Gate, Jakarta some time ago. According to Hasto, the truck driver who carried out the collision was the same as the candidate for vice president who won the 2024 presidential election, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The reason, said Hasto, the truck driver is still 17 years old and does not yet have a driving license (SIM). Just like Gibran, it is not enough to meet the requirements for candidacy as a vice presidential candidate because he is still under 40 years old. Hasto assessed that this incident was a reflection of how important maturity is for a person to carry out certain positions or duties.

"This is an example of how when people are only oriented towards results, (temporary, red) processes, age is neglected, so this is also dangerous," said Hasto in an online discussion on Saturday, March 30. Moreover, Hasto continued, to manage a country as big as Indonesia with all very complex problems. Of course, he said, a short experience was needed.

"Economic problems, social problems, geopolitical issues, poverty issues, religious egoism issues which are also often issues related to our spiritual mentality," he said.

Therefore, Hasto criticized the nomination of President Joko Widodo's son (Jokowi), Gibran as a vice presidential candidate who was considered not old enough.

"In the midst of that, a look shows how a president's son whose age limit is not sufficient, the mayor is also only two years old, then gets a preference," said Hasto.
