President Jokowi Reluctant To Comment On The PHPU Election Lawsuit Session

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo was reluctant to comment on the second trial of the 2024 Presidential Election Result Dispute (PHPU) lawsuit held by the Constitutional Court.

"Well, I don't want to comment on the Constitutional Court," said President Jokowi after attending the Opening of the Budhi Hikmah Congress in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, March 28.

President Jokowi also did not comment when asked about the alleged abuse of power (abuse of power) in the 2024 presidential election which was mentioned by one of the attorneys for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs.

"What for? For what?" asked President Jokowi.

On Wednesday (27/3), the Constitutional Court held a preliminary hearing of the PHPU for the 2024 presidential election which was divided into two sessions.

Case one, namely the application submitted by candidate pair number 1 Anies-Muhaimin with register number 1/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024, and case two, namely the application submitted by candidate pair number 3 Ganjar-Mahfud with register number 2/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024.

Furthermore, the stages of the trial examination as well as the submission of the respondent's answer, the information of the related party, and the giver of information were held on Thursday (28/3).

The trial examination stage will be held from April 1 to 18, and the stage of the pronouncement of the verdict or stipulation will be held on April 22, 2024.
