Antarsantri Jotos Fight At The East Lombok Islamic Boarding School Ends In Peace

JAKARTA - The case of a fistfight between two child students of the Islamic boarding school (ponpes) in East Lombok Regency which went viral on social media ended peacefully.

Head of the East Lombok Police Satreskrim AKP I Made Dharma Yulia said the peace agreement was after the police had a meeting with the parties.

"So, from the results of today's meeting, both parties agreed to resolve this issue amicably and will not proceed to the realm of law," he said when contacted, Thursday, March 28, was confiscated by Antara.

The meeting, which took place at the Women and Children Protection Unit of the East Lombok Police, has set several important points.

First, the perpetrator who caused the victim's head to leak and the video recorder has apologized and promised not to repeat the act.

Second, the victim forgives the perpetrator's mistake and agrees to resolve the problem amicably.

The foundation management as the party providing santri education facilities, both to the perpetrator and to the victim, also apologized for this incident.

"The foundation promised to further increase supervision of children under their auspices," said Dharma.

The victim's parents and perpetrators who attended the meeting also learned a big lesson. Both parties promised to pay more attention and nurture their children in terms of good social behavior.

Furthermore, Dharma hopes that all levels of society will make this incident an evaluation material in educating children.

He also hopes that the video of the perpetrator's fight with the victim will no longer be spread so as not to cause prolonged trauma impacts among children.
