Puan Regarding Megawati's Chance To Meet Prabowo: God Willing

Chairman of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani opened the possibility of a meeting between PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and Gerindra Chairman and elected President Prabowo Subianto.

Even so, Puan was still reluctant to reveal the plan for the second meeting.

"God willing. God willing," said Puan at the DPR building, Thursday, March 28.

When asked whether there will be political reconciliation as happened after the 2019 presidential election, Puan did not want to confirm.

"Isn't it?," said the chairman of the DPR.

Meanwhile, the Daily Chairperson of Gerindra, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, who was right next to Puan, commented. Dasco said that communication between Gerindra and PDIP was carried out every day.

"Communication every day," said Dasco.

Previously, the news of the plan to meet Prabowo and Megawati was revealed by the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani. He said Gerindra and PDIP were matching the time so that the two general chairmen could meet face to face immediately.

"I am sure that in this short time the two of them can meet because all parties also hope that the chairman can meet," Muzani told reporters in South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 26, evening.

Muzani explained that Prabowo's meeting with Megawati was only hampered by time. This is because the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia is also reportedly busy in Ramadan 2024.

"Pak Prabowo, there are still many agendas that must be carried out. Mainly on these last few occasions. On the other hand, Bu Mega also during the month of Ramadan, it is also said that the agenda is also solid," he explained.
