JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono submitted the regional government financial report (LKPD) for the 2023 fiscal year to the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

Heru emphasized that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has undergone a long and sustainable process in increasing accountability for financial management and regional goods.

Therefore, Heru hopes that the DKI Provincial Government will again achieve an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) like in previous years.

"We hope that the BPK can continue to provide guidance, suggestions, and input. Thus, financial and goods management within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can be better, accountable, and obtain Fair Opinion Without Exceptions, which is the seventh time in a row over the LKPD for Fiscal Year 2023," Heru said in his statement, Thursday, March 28.

Referring to Law Number 1 of 2004 Article 56 Paragraph 3 regarding the Regional Government Financial Report submitted by the Governor and Regent/Mayor to BPK, LKPD is submitted no later than three months after the end of the fiscal year.

According to Heru, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has completed the LKPD for the 2023 budget year on time and has been reviewed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Inspectorate.

"Of course, representing the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, we express our gratitude and appreciation to the BPK RI for overseeing accountability in financial management and goods through professional examinations," explained Heru.

For information, the total DKI Jakarta APBD for Fiscal Year 2023 is IDR 79.56 trillion. The realization of budget revenues is 100.50 percent and the realization of expenditures is 92.27 percent.

Then, DKI Jakarta's total assets as of December 31, 2023, were 721.58 trillion rupiah, an increase of 5.34 percent compared to the position as of December 31, 2022.

The DKI Provincial Government has previously maintained the title of WTP for the sixth time from the BPK. WTP opinion has been received by the DKI Provincial Government in a row since 2017 or since Anies Baswedan's leadership as Governor of DKI.

However, the WTP title received by the DKI Provincial Government does not mean that regional financial reports are structured without errors. At the submission of WTP opinions for the 2022 fiscal year, BPK still sees a number of problems.

Among them are still overpayments for regional spending on late fines with a value of Rp45.87 billion.

Then there are still Rp197.55 billion KJP Plus and KJMU funds that have not been distributed, as well as Rp15.18 billion for social assistance for meeting basic needs that have not been distributed. In addition, the administration of fixed assets for social-fasum facilities is said to be not yet orderly.
