2 Police Were Hit By An Ambulance When Disbanding Brawls In Padang

Two police officers were hit by an ambulance while disbanding a brawl in Padang, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) on Wednesday (27/3) morning.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Padang Police, Kompol Deddy Adriansyah Putra, said the two personnel were still receiving medical treatment.

"Two personnel were hit by an ambulance while trying to disperse the brawl in the area behind Olo," he said, quoted by ANTARA.

The two policemen who were hit by the ambulance were Bripda Aldo Fernanda, and Bripda Bagas Wira Nugraha.

The two personnel are under Operational Control (BKO) from the West Sumatra Regional Police Ditsamapta.

The incident began when the Padang Police received information from the public about the brawl in the Permindo area, Padang.

Receiving this information, the Padang Police then deployed a team of anti-battle Raimas to the location.

"Arriving at the scene of the incident, the brawlers immediately fled, but the surrounding community was still at the location," he explained.

After leaving the Permindo area, the team then moved towards Behind Olo, which was not far from the location of the initial brawl.

He said that when he was behind Olo, the ambulance suddenly drove at high speed, and immediately hit the Raimas Patrol group.

As a result, two police personnel were injured, while three patrol service motorbikes were damaged.

The white ambulance with police number BA 8077 BQ was driven by J (41), in which there were three people.

"We immediately secured the driver and the ambulance passenger after the incident, including an ambulance," he explained.

Dedy said that from the initial examination, it was known that the driver admitted to panic when he saw the gang of brawlers.

J deliberately crashed his vehicle into the group riding the motorcycle, and also hit the police personnel.

"After the incident, the driver looked like a dim or drunk person, so we did a urine test. It turned out that the result was positive for shabu-shabu drugs," he explained.

Currently, the case is still being handled by the Padang Police for further legal processing.
