Gerindra Says Prabowo And PPP Meetings Are Still Constrained By Election Dispute Lawsuits

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, explained the reasons for the absence of the presidential gathering, Prabowo Subianto, to the PPP DPP office. Prabowo is said to respect PPP, which is currently experiencing problems with the 2024 election dispute.

"We have no psychological obstacles to meeting PPP with Pak Prabowo. It's just that maybe the time has to be adjusted, we know that PPP is currently fighting again in order to qualify at the Constitutional Court because there are many areas they are questioning to find 200 thousand votes," said Habiburokhman, Tuesday, March 26.

Habiburokhman said Gerindra would certainly have empathy and sympathy because PPP lost its vote in the 2024 Legislative Election and failed to meet the parliamentary threshold. Gerindra prays that PPP will stay in Senayan.

"Hopefully the struggle of PPP friends to stay at Senayan will produce maximum results and we also need their presence in Senayan," said Habiburokhman.

When asked if Prabowo would help PPP, the deputy chairman of Commission III of the DPR said he did not know the mechanism for the form of assistance. What is clear, he said, is that Prabowo will embrace all parties, including PPP.

"In spirit, we hope for the best for PPP as well as PSI. Most of our friends are in parliament, not just party leaders. Yes, we hope they can also survive because it's an old party, right. Among us is our father's party. But the form of assistance is like what we don't understand either. what we can do. Technically, we also don't know, we don't know yet," he said.
