232,776 Lebaran Train Tickets At Daop 8 Surabaya Sold Out

The number of train tickets for Lebaran homecoming and homecoming in the operational area (Daop) 8 Surabaya is increasingly being sold. As of Tuesday, March 26 morning, 232,776 tickets for departures from March 31 to April 21 had been sold.

The majority of passengers who have ordered tickets are for the destination to Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Jember, and Banyuwangi.

Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 8 Surabaya, Luqman Arif said the passengers' favorite trains during the Lebaran transportation period, namely the Airlangga train for the Surabaya Market-Pasar Pasar Senen Jakarta connection, the Probowangi train for the Surabaya Gubeng connection to Jember and Banyuwangi, and the Mataruja train for the Malang connection to Jakarta.

"During the Eid 2024 transportation period, Daop 8 Surabaya operates 43 regular long-distance trains and 11 additional trains," said Luqman Arif, in his statement Tuesday, March 26.

Of the 54 trains operated, 30,340 seats are provided every day. During the 22 days of Eid 2024 transportation period, a total of 667,000 tickets were provided for departures from the Daop 8 Surabaya area.
