It Is Not Clear That Ali Kalora Was Shot During Gun Contact In Poso

JAKARTA - The National Police has not been able to confirm the news that Ali Kalora was shot during a firefight between the East Indonesian Mujahidin (MIT) and the Madago Raya Task Force in the Andole Mountains, Maros Village, Poso.

Karo Penmas, Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, said that no reports had yet been received regarding the news. To date, there have only been reports of two MIT members who died in the gun battle.

"While not (Ali Kalora was shot). What is certain is that 2," Rusdi told reporters, Wednesday, March 3.

"What is clear is that this group numbered 11. Yesterday, 2 were shot in the group," he continued.

In addition, based on data received by the two MIT members who were shot, they were not Ali Kalora's children.

"There is no blood relationship with Ali Kalora. Not his son," said Rusdi.

Densus 88 Anti-terror is also still tracking the movement of the MIT group out of the forest. It is suspected that they were looking for food supplies.

"What is clear is that their presence in the forest also needs food," he said.

As previously reported, two people who were included in the Poso East Indonesia Mujahidin Mujahidin List (DPO) were reportedly killed after a gun battle with the Madago Raya Task Force.

The firefight took place in the Andole mountain area, Maros Village, Poso Pesisir, Poso Regency. Currently, the bodies of Irul and Alfin are in Bhayangkara Hospital, Palu.
