JAKARTA - Secretary of the DPD PDIP DKI Jakarta Deserves Nainggolan admitted that his party has not yet thought about the process of selecting candidates for governor candidates in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada.

Pantas mengaku jajaran PDIP DKI masih kaget atas perolehan suara Pemilu Legislatif (Pileg) DPRD DKI tahun ini yang menurun cukup signifikan.

PDIP's internal party is still focused on reviewing the causes of the decline in the votes of its party in Jakarta, before starting to select who the figures will be in the future regional elections.

"We have not (put in mind the candidate for governor in the DKI Regional Head Election). Maybe later the results of our study will be," said Pantas when contacted, Monday, March 25.

PDIP, according to Pantas, will also focus on undergoing the election dispute lawsuit process at the Constitutional Court (MK). After all the processes are completed, PDIP will only explore coalition opportunities with other parties to determine who the governor and deputy governor candidates will be in Jakarta.

"Surely in time. What is certain is that we must also cooperate with other parties," said Pantas.

PDIP also opens opportunities to form a coalition with other parties outside of its coalition during the 2024 presidential election. When carrying Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, PDIP was in coalition with PPP.

"It can (coalize with other parties). Open, open," he added.

The PDIP vote in this year's DKI DPRD legislative election has decreased compared to the previous legislative election. This has an impact on reducing the number of seats obtained by PDIP in the DKI DPRD.

In comparison, in the 2019 Legislative Election, PDIP has 25 seats in the Kebon Sirih parliament. However, based on the results of the 2024 Legislative Election, the conversion to seats in the DKI DPRD is only 15 seats.

"Yes, definitely shocked. Other cadres, yes, that's the condition. Everyone is a bit surprised too. The survey that we conducted until January 20 is still good. That's why we will try to analyze first why (it can decrease)," he added.
