JAKARTA - The United Development Party (PPP) officially submitted a request for a dispute over general election results (PHPU) or dispute over the results of the 2024 Election to the Constitutional Court on Saturday night. PPP claims to have lost as many as 200,000 votes in 30 electoral districts (dapil) spread across 18 provinces. "The lawsuit application is quite evenly distributed, in 18 provinces, but details will be submitted by the legal team. There are several electoral districts, around 30 electoral districts if I'm not mistaken," said PPP chairman Achmad Baidowi, or who is familiarly called Awiek, at the MK building, Jakarta, Saturday, March 23 evening. Awiek stated that there was a transfer of 200,000 votes in the 30 electoral districts. Although the PPP votes lost in each electoral district were insignificant, around 3,000 to 4,000 votes, but the overall number reached 200,000 votes. "We have supporting evidence, based on our tracking in the electoral districts, the PPP votes are missing," he explained. in his lawsuit, PPP asked the Constitutional Court to declare the 200,000 missing votes belonging to PPP, and recognize PPP as one of the parties that passed to Senayan. It is known, PPP only obtained 5,878,777 votes or 3.87% so that it does not meet the 4% parliamentary threshold. If PPP succeeds in proving the existence of 200,000 missing votes, the total votes will be 6,078,777 or exceed the threshold so that it meets the passing requirements. "We register here (MK) at 20.00, still far from the last time limit, 3 x 24 hours regulated by Law 7 of 2017 on Elections," said Awiek.

Awiek said that his party had prepared 23 members of the legal team to handle the dispute over the results. They have also prepared evidence, including relevant witnesses, for the trial in accordance with the provisions set by the Constitutional Court.
