Using Non-standard Devices, Pertamina West Java Gives Strict Sanctions To Gas Stations In Karawang

JAKARTA The Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java (JBB) took firm action on the findings of additional switching equipment in 3 of the total 8 gas station dispensers 34,41345 Jakarta Toll Road Cikampek Rest Area KM 42, Wanasari, Telukjambe Barat, Karawang, West Java.

Strict action by issuing the First and Last Warning Letter and instructions to immediately replace the 3 dispensers with a new dispenser that is ready to operate no later than 2 (two) weeks from the issuance of a Sanction Letter from Pertamina Patra Niaga to gas stations.

The problematic dispenser from the results of field checks by officers from the Directorate of Metrology of the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia in the context of preparing the 2024 Ramadan &Idul Fitri (RAFI) Task Force still has a Tera Metrology certificate valid until February 13, 2025, where Tera will be held on February 13, 2024.

Area Manager Communication, Relation & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java Eko Kristiawan said the sanctions imposed by Pertamina on gas stations were in accordance with the agreement contract between Pertamina and gas stations, in the attachment to contract sanctions for types of operational violations at point number 10 it was stated that gas stations could be given sanctions if they did.

"Rekayasa dengan menggunakan alat/cara lain untuk merubahkan meter", dan sanksi yang diberikan adalah "Surat Peringatan pertamatan pertamatan dan terakhir, disertai penghentian sementara SPBU selama minimal 1 (satu) bulan dan Pertamina dapat mengambil alih pengelolaan SPBU, serta dikenakan denda sebesar Rp.25/liter untuk seluruh produk BBM dikalikan turnet rata bulan 3 (tiga) bulan terakhir.

"If gas stations cannot implement the provisions in the sanctions imposed by Pertamina, gas stations will be given even stricter sanctions", explained Eko.

Pertamina guarantees the smooth distribution and availability of fuel stocks for the entire community, especially in the Karawang area and its surroundings.
