Fasting Month, 13 Couples Are Secured In Banjarmasin Hotel Room

Banjarmasin Police raided a couple without marriage during the month of fasting or Ramadan 1445, Sunday 24 March (ANTARA)

BANJARMASIN - Central Banjarmasin Police, South Kalimantan Police, raided 13 couples suspected of being perverted or unmarried while in a hotel room during the Holy Month of Fasting or Ramadan 1445.

"We have secured 13 couples without a marriage certificate, when the Sector Police carried out patrol activities to anticipate immoral acts at hotels in the month of Ramadan," said Central Banjarmasin Police Chief Kompol Eka Saprianto as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, March 24.

A total of 13 couples without marriage were arrested when officers conducted examinations at a number of hotels in the Central Banjarmasin area, on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, morning.

"We carried out raids at the hotel on Sunday morning starting at around 00.30 WITA until before dawn at 03.00 WITA," said the Sector Police Chief accompanied by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Banjarmasin Police, Iptu Hendra Agustian Ginting.

Not only that, said Eka, the patrol team also confiscated dozens of bottles/cans of alcoholic beverages from various brands during an inspection at Depot 88 Jalan Pangeran Samudera, Kertak Baru Ulu Village, Central Banjarmasin District.

"All the perpetrators of community diseases that we have secured in this patrol activity are immediately taken to the Police for examination, if there is a criminal element, they will be processed according to applicable legal regulations," he said.

Kompol Eka Saprianto also said that patrol activities create this condition in order to anticipate acts of thuggery and prevent immoral acts so that criminal acts do not occur in the month of Ramadan 1445 Hijri in the jurisdiction of the Central Banjarmasin Police.

In addition, his party also appealed to the public to always be aware of the perpetrators of crimes and report them if they experience or are aware of any crime in the jurisdiction of the Central Banjarmasin Police.

"We continue to improve patrol activities to improve this condition to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community in carrying out worship in the month of Ramadan," said the old police chief leading the patrol activity.
