Firefighters Who Fell While Putting Out The Fire At Lazada Warehouse Have Improved And Return To Work

The incident of firefighters (damkar) falling from the wall while carrying out a fire at the Lazada Warehouse did not affect the officers when extinguishing the fire.

Head of Operations for West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syafrudin, explained that he had seen firsthand the condition of the officers who had fallen. However, said Syafrudin, his condition has improved and can return to work to extinguish the fire.

"Alhamdulillah, he is fine and has improved. I have met him and can work again. There was no impact." explained Syafrudin at the fire location, Friday, March 22, at around 12.01 WIB.

Previously, a firefighter fell from a wall with a height of about 2.5 meters while extinguishing the fire in Lazada's warehouse, Thursday, March 21, at around 22.10 WIB.

Firefighters fell because he was surprised by the pressure of the draining water hose. Suddenly, the officers lost balance and fell from the wall of the warehouse.

Based on the monitoring of VOI journalists at the location, the firefighters were still lying on the ground, limping down.

The video also shows that when the officer fell, his body hit the rubble under the building. Luckily, some of his colleagues were quick to help and evacuate the victim.

As previously reported, Lazada Warehouse in Pesing, West Jakarta caught fire, Thursday, March 21 at around 22.00 WIB.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. Until now, officers are still doing the extinguishing.
