Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Marshal TNI (Ret.) Hadi Tjahjanto met the visit of the General Chairperson of the Central PWI Hendry Ch Bangun at the office of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Thursday, March 21 (Ist)

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Marshal TNI (Ret.) Hadi Tjahjanto fully supports the National Insight Press Socialization program planned by the Central Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Management. This program is intended for PWI members in 38 provinces and special branches of Surakarta.

In an audience with the General Chairperson of the Central PWI Hendry Ch Bangun and his entourage at the office of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Thursday, March 21, Hadi Tjahjanto stated the importance of understanding the nationality of journalists in presenting their journalistic works. According to him, the diversity and richness of Indonesian culture must be reflected in every journalistic work.

"Our institutions will help according to the existing capabilities, because I think there is currently a lot of news and information that is no longer in accordance with our cultural values," explained the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

In addition, Hadi Tjahjanto expressed his support for the efforts of the Central PWI Management in encouraging the Socialization of the National Press as part of returning to the PWI khittah when it was established. He emphasized that understanding of the identity of the nation is very important in maintaining national sovereignty through journalistic works.

This is also manifested in PWI's plan to include its management and members in the National Values Establishment program in Lemhanas.

In addition, Hadi Tjahjanto provided support for the construction of the Pancasila Press Grha in Yogyakarta as a Center for Pancasila Press Studies and the Yogyakarta DI DI office. This place is expected to be a center for information, seminars, and discussions related to the Pancasila Press.

In this context, Yogyakarta is seen as the right place because it is rich in culture and has an important role in the history of the nation's struggle.

"Yogyakarta is the right and conducive place because this city is a city of culture, a city of tourism, and played a major role in the era of struggle and at the beginning of independence. The presence of Grha Pers Pancasila is in line with the image of the city of Yogyakarta," he said.

During the warm meeting, the national situation, media conditions, and current journalism were also discussed, as well as efforts to create a healthy and conducive media climate.

As a follow-up to the hearing, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs will be invited to provide public lectures for Central PWI members and administrators as well as provincial PWI after Eid al-Fitr.
