2024 Election After, Arsjad Rasjid Returns To As Chairman Of Kadin

JAKARTA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) announced that Arsjad Rasjid was again active in carrying out his duties as general chairman of the organization, after being temporarily unable to participate because he was the head of the winning team for one of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the 2024 General Election.

Arsjad Rasjid emphasized that he will continue to focus on strengthening the organization and encouraging the achievement of Kadin's work program in 2024.

"As a strategic partner of the government in accordance with the mandate of Law no. 1 of 1987 and Presidential Decree No. 18 of 2022, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry continues to focus on providing benefits for its members while at the same time encouraging concrete contributions from the private sector to Indonesia's economic growth," he said in Jakarta, Thursday, March 21, which was confiscated by Antara.

The general chairman of Kadin for the 2021-2026 period said he wanted to increase the role of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in carrying out the mandate of daily administrators, Chairman of the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry throughout Indonesia, members of the company, association of associations, and all representatives of the business world in Indonesia.

Arsjad explained that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will also carry out a work program in 2024 which relies on four main pillars, namely the Backbone of National Health, Strengthening National and Regional Economics, Entrepreneurship and Competency, as well as Strengthening Internal Organizations and Regulations.

"Kadin Indonesia underlines the importance of achieving the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision as the basis for Indonesia's future, where Indonesia becomes a developed country as the world's 4th largest economic power and escapes the trap of middle-class countries, making Indonesia a strong, prosperous, inclusive and sustainable Indonesia," he said.

Acting Daily Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi explained that with Arsjad Rasjid's return as chairman, he will also officially return to carry out his duties as Deputy Chairperson of the Coordinator for Organization, Law and Communication of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

"With this, I officially return the leadership stick to Arsjad Rasjid. With his dedication and proven vision, he is ready to bring the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in presenting innovation and synergy between stakeholders to increase the competitiveness of the business world and contribute to national economic growth," he said.

Yukki said this was a moment for the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to reunite in order to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic progress towards Indonesia Gold 2045.

Arsjad previously in September 2023 decided to be inactive as Chairman of Kadin after he was appointed as Chairman of the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md National Winning Team in the 2024 General Election.
