Unlike NasDem, PKS Doesn't Want To Congratulations To Prabowo-Gibran

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) has a different attitude from the NasDem Party which received and congratulated Paslon number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election.

PKS is still waiting for the ongoing process until the results of the presidential election dispute trial at the Constitutional Court (MK).

"Yes, the stages must be that way. After the election, calculation, determination. But there is still room for those who are dissatisfied and have evidence in the Constitutional Court. Yes, we congratulate you in the KPU calculation stage with there is still room for the Constitutional Court," said PKS politician Jazuli Juwaini at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, March 21.

Jazuli said that PKS would accept the results of the 2024 presidential election if allegations of fraud related to voting were allegedly not proven in the Constitutional Court. PKS, he said, would be willing to accept the defeat of Paslon number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar which was promoted by the Change Coalition.

"If there is no strong argument and evidence, we really have to (accept, ed). In this election there must be a winner, there must be a defeat. So as people who adhere to democratic understanding, they must accept victory, they must accept defeat," said Jazuli.

"Right now, there are many friends, people, yes, that's saying that we don't want to accept it or not, we accept it or we don't accept it or we don't accept it. But they question how to win. So as long as it has strong evidence, there is room. But we hope the atmosphere is conducive," he concluded.

Previously, the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, stated that he received the results of the 2024 General Election count conducted by the KPU. Both the results of the calculation of legislative elections and the presidential and vice presidential elections.

"The NasDem Party has stated that it accepts the results of the 2024 General Election which will be held on February 14. Both the legislative elections and the presidential and vice presidential elections," said Surya Paloh, during a press conference at NasDem Tower, Jakarta, Wednesday night, March 20.

The NasDem Party also congratulated all political parties participating in the legislative elections and also the three candidate pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"NasDem congratulates Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as winners of the 2024 presidential election," said Surya Paloh.
