East Jakarta firefighters are suspected of molesting their own 5-year-old biological child. The victim's mother who knew about this reported it to the Polda Metro Jaya.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary, confirmed the incident. The report was received on February 6, 2024, then.

"The reported incident is sexual abuse to minors. The reported SN," Ade told reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Wednesday, March 20.

Ade said that this case was being handled by the Subdi Renalta of the Direskrimum Polda Metro Jaya.

"Currently, investigators from the Sub-Directorate of Renakta of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya are conducting an in-depth investigation process. It has been carried out to clarify the complainant or the victim's mother. Then make a request for clarification to the victim's grandmother," he said.

The former South Jakarta Metro Police Chief also said that his party had coordinated with the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) and the Protection of Women and Children (P3A) to provide protection for victims.

"Then investigators have communicated with KPAI then P3A DKI Province, has coordinated with Komnas Anak," he said.

For information shared by the mother on her Instagram account, it was stated that her 5-year-old child complained of pain in her vital equipment after staying at her ex-husband's house.

In the video, he explained, he admitted that it was hard to raise the information about this case to the public. However, he hopes that with the virality of this case the legal process can be dealt with.

Meanwhile, the reported father of the victim himself is one of the East Jakarta Firefighters.
