Prevent Crime, 60 West Aceh Police Standby In Crowded Places During Ramadan

ACEH BARAT- West Aceh Resort Police (Polres) deployed at least 60 personnel to a number of locations to secure community activities in the holy month of Ramadan 1445 Hijri.

"We are deploying these personnel to provide a sense of security and comfort for people who worship in the holy month of Ramadan," said Head of Operations Section of the West Aceh Police, Kompol M Nasir to reporters in Meulaboh, Tuesday, March 20.

There are also locations targeted for police security including regulating traffic flow on highways, especially in the afternoon, security in a number of public facilities, including deploying personnel to guard a number of mosques in Meulaboh, the capital of West Aceh Regency.

Kompol M Nasir said the activity was part of creating conditions in the form of routine patrols to maintain security in the community, so that people who carry out Ramadan fasting are more comfortable to worship.

The West Aceh Police also placed police personnel in crowded places and before breaking the fast, so that people who buy iftar were comfortable.

"We also make traffic arrangements, in order to avoid congestion and congestion on the highway," said M Nasir.

In addition, his party also places police personnel in a number of mosques, in order to provide a sense of security for people who worship, thus avoiding the loss of motorized vehicles, mugging actions and preventing a number of other crimes.

The West Aceh Police also appealed to the public to protect their respective children from the influence of narcotics, so that the younger generation in West Aceh was not involved in drug abuse, said Kompol M Nasir.
