JAYAPURA - Commissioner of the Papua KPU Theodorus Kossay Mountains said the Papuan KPU Mountains and Papua leased a plane owned by Trigana Air to bring the commissioner and staff to Jakarta to attend the KPU plenary meeting.

"It is true that we were forced to rent a plane because there were no scheduled flights that served Jayapura -Jakarta at night," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 19.

According to him, the delay in the district level plenary meeting was due to several obstacles, including protests against PPD.

The Papuan Gunung KPU was forced to hold a plenary session in Sentani because the Tolikara KPU carried out a plenary session at one of the hotels in Jayapura Regency, Papua.

"Praise God, Tuesday night the plenary meeting of the Papuan KPU has been completed even though many have objected and we together with the Papuan KPU commissioners departed and upon arrival in Jakarta will immediately attend the plenary meeting at the Indonesian KPU," said KPU Papua Commissioner, Theodorus Kossay Mountains.

Meanwhile, the Area Manager of Trigana Papua, Irwan Rohendi, separately admitted that his party had prepared the Boeing 737-500 to bring the commissioners of the Papuan KPU Mountains and KPU Papua.

There were 22 passengers who were taken by plane departing at 22.11 WIT to Jakarta by transit in Makassar.

The plane was piloted by Capt. Marsya da Fo. Guruh, said Area Manager of Trigana Papua Irwan Rohendi.
