JAKARTA - Raja Malaysia Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim was angry about the issue of selling socks bearing the words Kalimah Allah in a retail network and asking for action as hard as he can against any party who is guilty based on law enforcement investigations.

Sultan Ibrahim emphasized that God's Kalimah is seen as very high in the sanubari of Muslims and there should be no things that can cause anger, especially during the month of Ramadan.

"I have just reprimanded and reminded the importance of people from various races to unite and respect each other in my inauguration speech in Parliament, and this problem arises," he said in a statement broadcast on his official Facebook page as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 19.

"Whether intentional or not, whether it is imported or produced in a local factory, I want law enforcement officials to investigate and take action as hard as possible to follow the existing laws so that bananas do not bear fruit twice," he added.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong juga mengatakan tidak masuk apabila ada perusahaan yang stafnya terdiri dari warga negara Malaysia tidak senek terhadap hal-hal seperti itu.

"We have lived in a pluralistic country for a long time. Mistakes in religious and racial issues like this cannot be accepted and are allowed to happen again," said Agong.

Kabar kaps kaki bertulang lafaz Allah di Malaysia muncul dalam sepekan terakhir setelah viral di media sosial, dan menjadi pembahasan dewan dalam beberapa sesi Session Dewan Rakyat di Kuala Lumpur.

The case is currently under investigation by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM). The police received 42 reports related to the socks or packages that read the late Allah.
