Beauty Clinic Lift In Semarang Falls From 4th Floor, One Person Injured

SEMARANG - Police are investigating the fall of the freight elevator at a beauty clinic on Jalan Sultan Agung, Semarang City, Central Java, which resulted in one person being injured.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Semarang Polrestabes Kompol Andika Dharma Sena said officers had processed the crime scene at the location of the fallen elevator.

"It is still being investigated by the Gajahmungkur Police together with the Semarang Police Inafis," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 19.

The incident that resulted in one of the workers with the initials M (41), a resident of Grobogan Regency, being a victim, was first noticed by two clinic workers who were on the ground floor. Employees heard a loud crash.

When checked, it turned out that a freight elevator that fell with the victim was inside with the police lying face down and his leg injured.

The elevator allegedly fell from the 4th floor of the beauty clinic building.

Initially, the elevator fell due to a load-retaining cable allegedly broken.

The victim, who was found conscious, was then rushed to Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang for treatment.
