BKN Affirms ASN Prohibited From Refusing To Be Transferred To IKN

JAKARTA - Acting (Plt) Head of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) Haryomo Dwi Putranto emphasized that state civil servants (ASN) who serve in central agencies at the ministerial level or agency should not refuse to be transferred to the capital city of the archipelago (IKN).

Even so, Haryomo refused to be called coercion, but it was an obligation.

Because, he said, the ASN had made statements and agreements on readiness to be assigned anywhere.

"We can't force someone to move. Also, they can't continue choosing not to move, they can't," said Haryomo during a press conference at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained, in principle, the transfer of central agencies to IKN is the transfer of offices and institutions, so the ASNs also move to where their offices are located.

The transfer of ASN to IKN takes a process and is based on needs. As long as it is needed and prepared to work at IKN, ASN will continue to work at IKN.

"We remain in principle the human resources, institutions, and offices will also move, and it will unite into one," he said.

Previously, the Head of the State Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono emphasized that the development of IKN has continued to show significant results. The overall first phase of development has reached 71.47 percent with a total investment of IDR 47.5 trillion.

The first phase of development progress, among others, is that the construction of the Sepaku Semoi dam has reached 100 percent, the construction of the National Ambu phase 1 has reached 96.41 percent, and the construction of the Presidential Palace and the ceremonial field has reached 54.07 percent.
