Competing The Change Coalition, PAN Calls The Prabowo Coalition Will Also Be Together In The 2024 DKI Pilkada

JAKARTA - The Coalition for Amendments consisting of the NasDem Party, PKB, and PKS agreed to continue the coalition of political parties that have been running in the 2024 presidential election to be brought to the 2024 DKI Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor Election (Pilgub).

Not wanting to lose, PAN said that parties in the Forward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) that support Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election will also continue to form a coalition to win the seat of DKI 1. The parties in KIM, namely Gerindra, Golkar, Democrats, PAN, Gelora, PBB, PSI, Garuda, and PRIMA.

"We at the Forward Indonesia Coalition have been determined from the start that this coalition is not only a permanent coalition in the DPR, but also in the regional elections," said PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno, Monday, March 18.

Eddy said that the Prabowo-Gibran coalition party would sit down together to discuss the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilgub. His party, he said, would first map out the coalition composition strategy in the regional elections.

"Indeed, everything cannot be collaborated, because for example, at this time we already have a regional head partnering with parties outside the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, so we will discuss this," he said.

Although there is the potential to cooperate with parties outside of KIM, Eddy ensures that his party will prioritize forming a coalition with political parties supporting Prabowo-Gibran.

"But we will prioritize the Forward Indonesia Coalition to partner with the coalition in carrying out regional head candidates in the future," he concluded.

Previously, the NasDem Party, PKB, and PKS agreed to continue the coalition of political parties that had been running in the 2024 presidential election to be brought to the 2024 DKI Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor Election (Pilgub).

This was conveyed after the meeting of the three political parties that presented the secretary-general of the three parties and administrators at the DKI Jakarta level.

"Tonight's meeting we actually want to show the public that we really are. We are trying to maintain this coalition until the Pilkada," said NasDem Party Secretary General Hermawi Taslim at NasDem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, Friday, March 15.
