TEGAL Two non-husband and wife couples in Tegal City, Central Java were caught in a Community Disease Operation (Pekat), Monday afternoon, March 18.

The Tegal City Police Chief through the West Tegal Police Chief, Kompol Aris Heriyanto, explained that the non-husband and wife couple were caught in a raid when joint officers from the West Tegal Police and the Tegal Police conducted raids in a number of boarding houses.

When knocked on a locked room, officers found the unauthorized partner in one boarding room.

"Officers secured two non-husband and wife couples who were alone in the boarding room. We then secured them to the Sector Police Headquarters for data and provided guidance," said the police chief in a written statement, Monday, March 18.

It is known that this raid activity is a series of Operation Pekat Candi 2024. In an effort to maintain the situation throughout Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr 1445 H to remain conducive.

"The police are currently still carrying out concentrated operations to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community. Especially now that Ramadan, for that we continue to intensify to prevent things that are not good," explained the police chief.

Then for the target this time, he continued, it was deliberately focused on boarding places. Because the function of the boarding house must be in accordance with the rules or not misused.

"Our target this time is to focus on boarding houses so that the residents of boarding houses are aware and obey the rules. They cannot violate two opposite sex, let alone not husband and wife in one room and are locked," he said.

The police chief added that his party will continue to carry out raids to create security and public order during the holy month of Ramadan 1445 H.

"We will continue to carry out Pekat Operations activities like this to honor the holy month of Ramadan which is full of blessings," he added.

The police chief hopes that in the future there will be no more boarding houses that will be replaced. What's more to commit immorality or acts that lead to immorality.

"We hope that the community, especially the residents of Tegal City, can create a conducive situation. Let's fill this blessed month of Ramadan, with activities that have the value of worship. Don't do things that are not good, such as gambling, getting drunk, adultery and playing firecrackers," said the police chief.

As a result, there were 2 unofficial couples who were caught in the raid. They were all taken to the Police Headquarters for data collection and guidance and called their respective people to know.
