Bogor Transportation Agency Starts Implementing Sanctions For Crossing Mining Trucks

BOGOR - The Department of Transportation (Dishub) of Bogor Regency, West Java, together with the local police have begun to apply sanctions for special mining transportation drivers who violate the rules.

Head of the Traffic Division of the Bogor Regency Transportation Agency, Dadang Kosasih, said that the sanctions had been agreed upon by transportation operators during an audience with Bogor Regent Asmawa Tosepu on Thursday (14/3).

"(Sanctions) from the police can provide a ticket. Then from us, it is also a matter of test feasibility (vehicles), for example not passing, you can't operate," said Dadang, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 18.

The sanctions began to be applied to transportation actors who violated the week after the socialization stage was calculated since the regulation was agreed upon.

"One week (socialization). Regarding supervision, we together with the Sector Police, the Resort Police held an action," he said.

Along with the application of these sanctions, the Bogor Regency Government through a memorandum of agreement with transportation operators also allowed the operation of special mining transportation during the day.

In the first point in the memorandum of understanding stated that the re-implementation of the trial of operating hours of empty mining special goods vehicles from Tangerang to Bogor Regency starting at 13.00 WIB until 16.00 WIB.

The trial was carried out from March 14, 2024, to April 15, 2024, to be evaluated.

The second point is the operating hours of special mining goods transportation vehicles following Regent Regulation number 56 of 2023 concerning Amendments to Bogor Regent Regulation Number 120 of 2021 concerning Restrictions on Operational Time for Mining Special Vehicles on Bogor Regency roads from 22.00 WIB to 05.00 WIB.

It is known that the mining truck drivers blocked Jalan Raya Mohamad Toha, Parungpanjang, since 20.30 WIB, Wednesday, by parking a mining vehicle in the middle of the road.

The action of the truck drivers blocking the highway caused traffic to be completely paralyzed, especially in the direction of Tangerang.
