3 Bojonegoro Residents Died Of Drinking Alcohol Allegedly Oplosan

BOJONEGORO - Bojonegoro Police are still investigating the deaths of three residents in the area who were suspected of drinking liquor (alcohol).

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bojonegoro Police, AKP Fahmi Amrullah, said the three residents who died were in the Sukosewu area, Bojonegoro.

"They drank from 10 am to 5 pm at the shop yesterday, but we from the Bojonegoro Police Satreskrim have not confirmed the liquid the victims drank," Fahmid said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 18.

Fahmi told that the incident began with RZB alias Kirun (28), carrying three bottles of liquid to a food stall in the Sukosewu area, Bojonegoro, East Java.

"The color of the liquid is like tea, whether it's alcohol is not clear. Arak or what is still uncertain," he said.

Arriving at the shop, the liquid brought by RZB, a resident of Mayangkawis Village, Balen District, was drunk with his four friends, namely DS (45), ZA (27) and IM alias Ngepong (34), a resident of Mayangkawis Village, Balen District. As well as AP (35), a resident of Duyungan Village, Sukosewu District, Bojonegoro Regency.

After drinking the liquid, they returned to their respective homes. However, the five people experienced symptoms of nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and others.

"They ended up weak and were taken to the hospital to get a doctor's treatment," he said, explaining.

DS (45), who worked as a driver for the village head of Mayangkawis, died at his workplace. Meanwhile, RZB alias Kirun died at the Sumberejo and ZA Hospitals and died at the Sosodoro Djatikoesoemo Hospital, Bojonegoro.

Meanwhile, the two friends of victims AP and IM alias Ngepong were reportedly safe.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Sumberejo Hospital, dr. Ratih Wulandari admitted that a resident was rushed to the Sumberejo Hospital.

"But when he was taken to the Sumberejo Hospital, the victim was in bad condition, critical and unconscious. The victim died and the results of the external post-mortem showed no signs of violence," he said.
