Ministry Of Transportation Provides Free Motorcycle And Passenger Tickets Via Vessels, Quota Of 1,200 Vehicles

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) is again holding a free homecoming program by ship in Eid al-Fitr 2024. Kali, free tickets are available for 1,200 two-wheeled vehicles aka a motorcycle.

Director General of Sea Transportation, Antoni Arif Priadi, explained that the Free Homecoming program will focus on motorbikes and passengers using ships from various embarkation or departure ports.

Furthermore, Antoni said that the free motorcycle and passenger music program will be carried out four times. First, starting from Tanjung Priok Port to Tanjung Emas with a departure schedule of 5 and 7 April 2024.

"The quota provided is 1,200 motorcycles and 2,400 for passengers," he said in a virtual press conference, Sunday, March 17.

To return, said Antoni, it will depart from Tanjung Emas to Tanjung Priok on April 13 to 15. The total motorcycle capacity is 1,200 and 2,400 passengers.

"We have carried out socialization," he explained.

Meanwhile, continued Antoni, special free tickets for passengers who do not carry 39,289 vehicles. The tickets are the result of coordination with PT Pelni (Persero) and the private operator riga, namely PT Dharma Indah, PT Dharma Lautan Tuan, and PT Pelayaran Sakti Inti Makmur.

Antoni also said that the free motorbike and passenger homecoming program will serve 49 segments with the number of departures for homecoming and return as many as 91 trips.

"Then the free tickets, 49 sections are allocated with 39,289 passengers, namely Darma Indah, Sakti Makmur, Dharma Lautan Utama, and PT Pelni. Now, in this free homecoming, this free ticket can be given an example for Bulukumba, Selayar has the name of the ship, the date of departure for the day of capacity and the number of passengers," he explained.
