Middle-aged Woman Disappears While Fish Netting In Gusung Gede Waters

The joint SAR team is still searching for middle-aged women who went missing while fishing in the big gusung waters, East Belitung on Sunday, March 17.

The victim, a woman known as Harma (52), was reported missing since March 13. The incident began when the victim and her husband and child went fishing to the waters of the port of PT BSM.

The victim then went down to fish in the gusung Gede reef, while the husband and child of the victim continued their journey to the pulsating island to pull the trawl.

Then when he returned home to collect the victim, the victim's husband and child no longer found the victim's whereabouts in the big gusung waters.

Then the victim's husband and child tried to search for the victim until 18.30 WIB but the victim was not found. Then the incident was reported to Kansar Pangkalpinang.

After receiving the report, Kansar Pangkalpinang immediately dispatched 1 team to rescue the Belitung SAR POST to the scene of the incident in the waters of gusung Gede, East Belitung.

Head of the Pangkalpinang Search and Rescue Office, I Made Oka Astawa, said that the search for victims was continuously being pursued by sweeping the surface of the water using a Rubber Boat and assisted by elements of local fishermen and sweeping the east gusung coast.

"Hopefully the search for these victims will produce results. We always coordinate with local fishermen who if they find victims in the waters can report to the Joint SAR Post," said Made, Sunday, March 17.

The Joint SAR team consisting of Rescuers of the East Nusa Tenggara SAR POS, Rescuer of the USS Tanjung Pandan post, Ditpolairud of the Babel Police, Dendang Police, BPBD Prov, BPBD of East Kalimantan, Tagana of East Kalimantan, Scouts Care, sub-district heads of the pesak intersection and elements of society continue to search for victims.
