KPU Sahkan Prabowo-Gibran Wins In North Sumatra

The Indonesian KPU has approved the vote acquisition of presidential and vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka ahead in North Sumatra based on a plenary meeting to recapitulate the results of the national vote at the KPU RI Office, Jakarta, Friday, March 15.

Member of the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) Idham Holik said the number of voting letters for the presidential and vice president elections was suitable for the number of voters who attended the polling stations (TPS) and the number of valid and invalid votes, which was 8,149,788 shares.

"Thus, we have determined the reading of the PPWP Results Model D (Presidential Election) form by the North Sumatra Provincial KPU," said Idham during the plenary meeting, reported by Antara.

North Sumatra Provincial KPU member Agus Arifin explained that the Anies-Muhaimin pair received 2,339,620 votes, the Prabowo-Gibran pair had 4,660,408 votes, and the Ganjar-Mahfud 999,528 votes.

He explained that the number of voters recorded on the permanent voter list (DPT) in North Sumatra Province was 10,853,940 people. Of the DPT figures, the number who exercised their voting rights was 7,923,259 people.

Then there were 69,341 people who exercised their voting rights from the additional voter list (DPTb), and there were 157,188 people who exercised their voting rights from the special voter list (DPK).

"The number of users of the right to vote, male 3,877,704 people, female 4,272,084 people, total 8,149,788 people," said Agus.

The 2024 election includes the presidential and vice presidential elections, members of the DPR RI, members of the DPD RI, members of the provincial DPRD, and members of the district/city DPRD with a national voter list (DPT) of 204,807,222 voters.

For the presidential and vice presidential elections, three couples, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md number 3.

Then in the legislative elections, 18 national political parties participated, namely (according to the serial number) of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Gerindra Party, PDI-P, Golkar Party, NasDem Party, Labor Party, and the Indonesian Gelora Party.

Next, Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS), Partai Kebangkitan Nusantara (PKN), Partai Hanura, Partai Garuda, Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN), Partai Bulan Bintang (PBB), Partai Demokrat, Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI), Partai Perindo, Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP), and Partai Ummat.

In addition, there are six local political parties as participants, namely the Aceh Nanggroe Party, the Atjeh Beusaboh Tha'at and Taqwa Generation Party, the Aceh Darul Party, the Aceh Aceh Party, the Aceh Prosperous Justice Party, and the Acehnese People's Independent Solidity Party.

According to KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022, the recapitulation of the 2024 General Election is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 20, 2024.
