Extortion At The KPK Detention Center Using Codes, Ex Investigators: There's No Difference With Real Corruptors

JAKARTA - Former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Employee Forum, Yudi Purnomo Harahap, was surprised by a number of secret codes used in the practice of illegal levies (extortion) at the KPK detention center.

Yudi considers the behavior of the perpetrators of extortion at the KPK president's office is no different from that of the corruptors.

Previously, the Director of Investigation at the KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, revealed that there were a number of codes used in extortion practices at the KPK detention center.

Asep revealed this after announcing 15 people were suspects in extortion at the KPK Detention Center, one of which was the Head of the KPK Detention Center Achmad Fauzi and Hengki, the former Kamtib Rutan.

"In launching the action using several terms or passwords, including floods, meaning inspection info, bird cages and corn feed, it means money transactions, and bottles are interpreted as cellphones and cash," Asep said at a press conference at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, March 15.
