NasDem, PKB, And PKS Agree On Continuing Coalition In The 2024 DKI Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party, PKB, and PKS agreed to continue the coalition of political parties that have been running in the 2024 presidential election to be brought to the 2024 DKI Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor Election (Pilgub). This was conveyed after the meeting of the three political parties that presented the secretary-general of the three parties and administrators at the DKI Jakarta level. "Tonight's meeting we actually want to show the public that we really are. We are trying to maintain this coalition until the Pilkada," said NasDem Party Secretary General Hermawi Taslim at NasDem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, Friday, March 15. Hermawi said that the Coalition for Change will continue to finalize the coalition strategy until the nomination of the Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta with a follow-up meeting. "We will start from DKI, and they of the DKI DPRD will continue to hold meetings and only tonight we are together. Next week at PKS, PKB and so on," said Hermawi. Based on the results of the recapitulation of the vote for the DKI Jakarta DPRD legislative election which was stipulated in the Decree of the General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province Number 33 of 2024, these three parties again qualified for the Kebon Sirih parliament. The party that carried Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar in the 2024 presidential election also received an increase in the number of seats in the DKI DPRD. In the 2024 PKS Pileg, 18 seats from the previous 16 seats in 2019, NasDem received 11 seats from the previous 7 seats, and PKB received 10 seats from the previous 5 seats. PKB Secretary General Hasanuddin Wahid views that the increasing number of seats in the DKI DPRD in these three parties adds to the confidence of the coalition of the three parties to win the candidates to be promoted in this year's DKI gubernatorial election.
