The Corruption Eradication Commission Searches Public Works and Spatial Planning Office Regarding Corruption Case Of Nurdin Abdullah

MAKASSAR - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the South Sulawesi Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUTR) office. The search was related to the corruption case of South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah.

As of this afternoon, the KPK team is still searching the PUTR office on Jalan AP Pettarani, Makassar, Tuesday, March 2. The search was closely guarded by the police.

The KPK in this case named three corruption suspects, namely the receipt of gratuities related to the South Sulawesi Provincial Government's infrastructure project.

Three suspects, namely the recipients of money, namely the Governor of South Sulawesi Nurdin Abdullah (NA) and Edy Rahmat (ER) as the Secretary of the South Sulawesi Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUTR) or a confidant of Nurdin Abdullah. Meanwhile, as the suspect, namely Agung Sucipto (AS) as the contractor.

South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah is suspected of receiving IDR 5.4 billion in connection with this case. In addition, Nurdin is also suspected of receiving money from other contractors, including at the end of 2020 amounting to IDR 200 million, mid-February 2021 through his aide named Samsul Bahri who received IDR 1 billion.

Then in early February 2021 Nurdin, through Samsul Bahri, received IDR 2.2 billion. The total money that Nurdin allegedly received was IDR 5.4 billion.

In case of construction, the KPK said that Agung Sucipto, as the Director of PT Agung Perdana Bulukumba (APB), has long known Nurdin with the desire to acquire several infrastructure work projects in South Sulawesi for the year 2021.
