JAKARTA - One suspected member of the inactive Foreign Election Committee (PPLN) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, who had been on the run and had surrendered to the authorities, arrived at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN). The suspect named Masduki will undergo his first trial with an agenda for reading the charges. Masduki arrived in the courtroom at 11.22 WIB. He came to the court accompanied by his attorney. At the beginning of the trial, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Attorney General's Office said that Masduki had indeed surrendered on Wednesday morning. "“His Majesty's permission, we reported the defendant seven yesterday DPO (wanted list), but this morning the information concerned has surrendered and is currently traveling to the district court," said the prosecutor, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, March 13. On the other hand, the Director of General Crimes (Dittipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro said that one suspect in the inactive PPLN Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, who entered the DPO, had surrendered to the authorities. "“DPO on behalf of Masduki in the Kuala Lumpur PPLN case, this morning surrendered," said Djuhadhani. Previously, Bareskrim Polri named one of the seven suspected non-active members of PPLN Kuala Lumpur with the initials MKM as DPO during the second phase of delegation to the Central Jakarta District Attorney, Friday (8/3). The other six suspects, with the initials UF as Chairman of PPLN Kuala Lumpur, PS; APR; A.KH; TOCR; and DS, each inactive member, were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office on Friday (8/3) for trial.

The seven suspects are suspected of committing election crimes under the suspicion of Article 545 and/or Article 544 of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning general elections. The suspect files of the seven PPLN members are related to the alleged criminal case of alleged addition and falsification of fixed voter list data (DPT) in the 2024 election in Kuala Lumpur.
