JAKARTA - The Indonesian Navy Hospital aid ship KRI dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat-992 arrived in Indonesian waters after completing the mission to deliver humanitarian aid to the Port of El Arish, Egypt, for the Palestinian people in Gaza.
"The ship, which is part of the Egyptian Port Visit 2024 Task Force (Satgas), is scheduled to arrive at its last stop at Kolinlamil Pier, Jakarta, on March 15, 2024," said an official broadcast by the Indonesian Navy Information Service in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Sunday, March 10.
KRI dr. Radjiman, who was carrying 214 personnel, arrived at Batu Ampar Port, Batam, Riau Islands, Saturday, March 9 after sailing for 14 days from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Jeddah was the first stop of KRI dr. Radjiman after the ship completed its mission in Egypt and on a voyage back to their homeland. In Jeddah, several personnel took the time to worship Umrah to Mecca and Medina.
The arrival of KRI dr. Radjiman at Batu Ampar Port was greeted by the Commander of the Patrol Unit (Dantrol) Main Base of the Indonesian Navy (Lantamal) IV Batam Marine Lt. Col. (P) Tony Priyo Utomo, Commander of KRI Kapitan Patimura-371 Lt. Col. (P) Oyu Mulia Sukmana, and Commander of KRI Kerambit-627 Marine Lt. Col. (P) Kurniawan.
In Batam, KRI dr. Radjiman refilled supplies for shipping to the last point in Jakarta.
The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (Kasal) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali at a press conference in Jakarta Sunday (8/3) thanked the ranks of the Indonesian Navy soldiers who succeeded in completing the humanitarian mission to deliver assistance from the Indonesian people to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
“KRI dr. Radjiman has completed his duties and his position has entered the north of the entrance to the Malacca Strait. Alhamdulillah, (successfully) passing through the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, Aden Bay, to the Indian Ocean in a safe condition,” said Admiral Ali in Jakarta, Friday (8/3).
He added that assistance weighing 242 tons was delivered by KRI dr. Radjiman has also been transported by Egypt's Red Crescent to be distributed to war victims in Gaza.
KRI Radjiman sailed from Jakarta on January 18, 2024 and arrived at El Arish Port on February 13, 2024. Since the docking, the aid was unloaded from the ship to the dock and then repackaged to be transported back to the Rafah border, Gaza. The process is approximately four days until finally all aid is unloaded and packaged.

The amount if grouped according to the container, there are 4,080 boxes, 2,732 sacks, 500 boxes, and 1,254 gallons.
El Arish Port is one of the points of gathering aid from abroad for war victims in Gaza, apart from El Arish Airport. El Arish is a city in Sinai, Egypt, which borders the Rafah border.
Delivery of aid to Egypt is the first mission of KRI dr. Radjiman sailed across the ocean out of Indonesian waters.
