MAKASSAR - Former Vice President Jusuf Kalla said the government's arrangement of mosque loudspeakers was appropriate and had been carried out by the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) for a long time. Jusuf Kalla as Chairman of the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) appreciated the Ministry of Religion's policy regarding the rules for using votes during the month of Ramadan. He explained that the provisions for using mosque loudspeakers had been voiced by DMI for a long time. Some of the rules issued by DMI such as when singing call to prayer, initial recitation or tahrim even when delivering worship. "The rules apply during the call to prayer, the initial recitation should not take more than 5-10 minutes," added JK who is also the General Chair of this PMI Center. For JK, the purpose of the importance of regulating mosque loudspeakers is none other than confusion. "Prayer is good. If the voice is too big, then it can be heard from all over the mosque and face each other. So it's like competing, ” he said again. Likewise, when delivering lectures or tauziah, loud sounds don't sound good.

"The sound is not understandable and if it's too loud, maybe people don't want to go to the mosque anymore," said Jusuf Kalla.
