However, he said, the results obtained today will still be sent and reported to the Indonesian Ministry of Religion.
"We will continue to report to the center that the hilal monitoring process has been carried out with conditions and criteria," he said.
The Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Gorontalo Province revealed that today there will be an isbat session from the Central Government attended by astronomers, experts as well as organizations of the Islamic community and the Indonesian House of Representatives.
"For that we will listen to the provisions, whether tonight we will pray Tarawih or tomorrow night," he said.
The Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Gorontalo Province together with the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Gorontalo conducted a hilal observation of 1 Ramadan using binoculars on the shore of Botubarani Village.
Head of Gorontalo Geophysics Station Andri Wijaya Field in Botubarani said the observation of the hilal was carried out in that place due to visibility considerations or visibility.
For monitoring the hilal in the area, said Andri, it was carried out at sunset, which was around 18:00 past 56 seconds.
