Biden made the apology during an interview with Jonathan Capehart from MSNBC which aired on Saturday, March 9 local time.
"I shouldn't have used 'illegal', but it wasn't documented," he said.
When asked if he regretted using illegal terms, Biden firmly replied "yes".
