Investment Exploration, 17 Ambassadors Of The Arab Region Visit Central Lombok

JAKARTA - A total of 17 ambassadors (dubes) from countries in the Arab region visited the Selong Belanak tourist destination, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This activity is in order to explore cooperation to invest in the area.

Morocco's Ambassador to Indonesia Ouadia Benabdellah in Praya on Sunday admitted that he and other representatives of Arab countries have an interest in investing in Lombok. However, his party hopes that supporting infrastructure in this area will be increased by local governments.

"We are interested in investing, but the infrastructure needs to be fixed," he said.

He said that the permit manufacturing process had no problems, because his party had understood the rules made by the Government of Indonesia, so that investment remained in accordance with applicable regulations.

"When it comes to permits, it doesn't matter. We also understand the existing rules in Indonesia," he said.

Apart from being interested in beach views and food, they also admire the friendliness of the Lombok community, so that it can support tourism development in the Selong Belanak area.

"The sport in Lombok is very beautiful," he said.

Meanwhile, the owner of Lantis Beach Club, Selong Belanak, Central Lombok Nur Laila Latief said the ambassadors' goal to Selong Belanak was to invest in the tourism sector. The Arab state representative is interested in investing in the Selong Belanak area, because it is not too dense and has great potential.

"Natural views are very good and close to the airport," he said.

He said the ambassadors from a number of Arab countries who attended considered the scenery in Selong Belanak like heaven. From this statement, it can be concluded that they are very interested in investing in Lombok.

"The more development in the Selong Belanak area, the better the economy," he said.

Investors who invest in the Selong Belanak tourist area also continue to involve local communities, so that their economy can increase.

"The proof is, we are here to empower 80 percent of local residents," he said.
