Ministry Of Religion Collaborates With Influencer To Become A Hisab Rukyat Cadre

Jakarta - Directorate General of Islamic Community Guidance of the Ministry of Religion cooperates with hundreds of influencers to become national rukyat historical cadres ahead of Ramadan 1445 H.

The Director General of Islamic Guidance at the Ministry of Religion, Kamaruddin Amin, said that in the era of technological advances, contestation in public spaces would be dominated by those who attended the most. Therefore, the Ministry of Religion cooperates with influencers to fill the space.

"Influencers or social media activists, it is you who will win the contest. So, I think this activity will be very productive because we will try to take part in contestation in cyberspace," Kamaruddin said on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

According to Kamaruddin, the educational, simulation, and visualization activities of the early Ramadan hilal, entitled Catch the Moon Ramadhan Kareem from March 8-10, 2024 in Jakarta, want to introduce closer to the process of monitoring the people's reckoning that has been carried out by the Government.

"We want to introduce the history of the people who are actually the needs of Muslims around the world, but not much is known," Kamaruddin said as quoted by Antara.

Meanwhile, the Director of Islamic Religious Affairs and Sharia Development of the Ministry of Religion, Adib, said that the regeneration of the rukyat reckoning is packaged in various activities, including involving millennials and influencers from all over Indonesia.

Adib said that more than 3,500 applicants online. The influencers who come directly will also take part in the workshop with the Public Relations Team of the Directorate General of Islamic Guidance.

"There were also 734 participants who attended through Zoom. In addition, there were also those who participated through live streaming. So, the total participants were around 3,500 people," said Adib.

Adib further revealed that this activity is expected to produce two things. First, understanding among millennials and Muslims about how the Isbat Session mechanism determined the beginning of the month of Kamaruiyah, especially Ramadan, Syawal, and Zulhijah.

"With this understanding, mutual understanding occurs related to the problem of the rukyat history," he said.

Second, the purpose of this activity is to build a common understanding of the importance of providing services to the community regarding the time of prayer, fasting, Eid, and other worship that requires Islamic astronomy.
