Drivers In Jakarta Still Lack Of Suffering And Danger Against Flows To Not Use Seat Belts

JAKARTA - The 2024 Safety Operation has been held for 4 days. Polda Metro Jaya noted that there were 11.002 violations with the most violations in the form of going against the current and not wearing a seat belt.

"At least 4,228 violators have been prosecuted using the ETLE enforcement system, both mobile ETLE and static ETLE," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Friday, March 8.

While the rest or 6,774 violators were given a warning by members of the Traffic Unit.

From that figure, six violations were found by drivers. Most are related to the prohibition rule against the flow and the use of seat belts.

"At least 6 violations were found by officers. The first was a violation against the direction, against the flow of traffic," he said.

"There were 1,118 violators against this flow," continued Ade.

For the second most types of violations, namely not wearing a helmet with 578 budgeting, not wearing a seat belt of 2,157 violations, using a cellphone while driving with 53 violators.

Then, exceeding the speed limit of 35 violators and 287 road markings violations.

"Please road users obey the sign language of the markings, please obey the signs," said Ade.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Safety Operation was carried out for 14 days from March 4 to March 17.

In these activities, there are 11 types of violations that will be dealt with in the operation.

First, a violation in the form of driving while using a cellphone. Then, underage riders ride more than one person, motorists do not wear SNI helmets and car drivers do not wear safety belts or safety belts.

Then, violations in the form of going against the current, exceeding the speed limit, containing more than the vehicle's capacity, motors with Brong exhausts, using strobos in inappropriate vehicles, and the use of special or confidential number plates.
