Ahmad Mardianto (26) suffered a stab wound to death after being beaten by an unknown number of people (OTK).

Mampang Prapatan Police Chief, Commissioner David Kanito confirmed the incident. He explained that the incident occurred at the MB Cafe on Jalan Kemang Raya Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 6, early in the morning.

"That's right, a man suffered a stab wound and died," David told reporters, Thursday, March 7.

David explained that the incident began when a witness named Bagio saw five men ganging up on the victim, one of whom was carrying sharp weapons (sajam).

"Then the witness tried to separate and not long after, the victim suffered a stab wound," he said.

Then the perpetrators fled on a motorbike. Meanwhile, the victim was immediately taken to the nearest hospital in South Jakarta. But unfortunately, his life could not be saved.

The police immediately conducted an investigation and examined a number of witnesses and checked until CCTV was at the location of the examination.

"To collect information on witnesses to check the crime scene and check CCTV," he concluded.
