382 Police Secure Southeast Sulawesi KPU Plenary Meeting, Southeast Sulawesi Police Gegana Deployed

SULTRA - The Gegana Team of the Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) Regional Police (Polda) sterilized the location for the Open Pleno Meeting of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Southeast Sulawesi Province in Kendari.

Head of Public Relations of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Pol. Iis Kristian, said that the sterilization of the room was carried out to create a sense of security and comfort for the Open Pleno Meeting of the Recapitulation of the Results of the 2024 Election Vote Calculation at the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial level.

Iis conveyed that it was aimed at knowing the suspicious objects that were to be brought into the open plenary meeting room, which could endanger the course of these activities.

As for the number of personnel who were alerted to secure the open plenary meeting, Kristian revealed that his party had prepared 382 personnel, including from the Brimob Polda Sultra.

It is known, in the sterilization, the Gegana Brimob Team of the Southeast Sulawesi Police consisting of the Bomb Disposal Team or Jibom detected dangerous items and explosives or suspicious objects.

In the implementation of the open plenary meeting, 28 personnel were prepared by the Brimob Unit of the Southeast Sulawesi Police, with details of 14 personnel on standby at the location of the open plenary meeting and 14 personnel standing by at the Mobile Brigade Unit Headquarters of the Southeast Sulawesi Police.
