Central Java Provincial Government Provides 12,000 Free Homecoming Seats For Parties In Jabodetabek

SEMARANG - The Central Java Provincial Government provides more than 12,000 seats for people from Central Java who are overseas in the Jabodetabek area and want to take part in the Lebaran 2024 Free Homecoming Program.

Head of the Central Java Provincial Liaison Agency, Sarido, said registration for free homecoming in 2024 began on Wednesday (6/3) at 09.00 WIB online and offline.

He said the total quota provided was 11,400 seats for the bus fleet and 1,088 train seats, targeting Central Java residents who work in the informal sector in the Jabodetabek area.

Online registration requirements can access the "www.pedamateng.connector.jatengprov.go.id" page, then upload documents, such as KTP/KIA, family card, and other supporting evidence.

Reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 5, people with disabilities who want to register for the program, he said, can directly visit the Central Java Liaison Agency Office on Jalan Dharmawangsa VIII Number 26 Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta.

For free homecoming registrants can also go directly to the Central Java Bank Branch Office on Jalan Panglima Polim, Kebayoran Baru, KCP Bank Jateng Kramat Jati, or through the association of Central Java residents in Jakarta.

"We will open our free homecoming registration on March 6, starting at 09.00. The number of homecoming buses provided is 228 units. If compared to last year, there are more buses provided this year," he said.

Sarido detailed that the buses provided by 58 buses came from the assistance of governors, Central Java Bank, and PT Semen Gresik. From the assistance of regents/mayors, Jasa Raharja and Perum Perumnas, there were 130 buses, and Bank Jateng facilitated 40 buses.

For facilitation of homecoming using trains, he said, two series were provided, namely the Jakarta-Solo department using the Jaka Tingkir train, while the Jakarta-Semarang direction was facilitated by the Menoreh train.

The 2024 Central Java Provincial Government's free homecoming departure will be carried out on Saturday (6/4/2024) from the Purna Bhakti Pertiwi TMII Jakarta Museum.

Sarido emphasized that the 2024 Free Homecoming Program is intended for low-income informal workers, such as motorcycle taxi drivers, household assistants, hawkers, street vendors, and workers who have Central Java ID cards.

He also appealed to Central Java residents to be careful if they receive free homecoming information, because usually there are people who take advantage of public ignorance by attracting delivery fees to the homecoming gathering point.

"When someone is not responsible for conveying that there is free (but) paid homecoming information, it must be checked first. Do not let residents wait for free homecoming, only pay Rp50,000 but the fraud. The money has been entered, but there is no (registered) homecoming for free," he explained.
