JAKARTA - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution both immediately blusukan (visiting) as President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) did. Jokowi's son and son-in-law reviewed the development of their respective cities.

Today, the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, is visiting the cultural heritage in the Kesawan area. Medan City Government targets to accelerate the improvement of cultural heritage areas in Kesawan this year.

The repair, said Bobby, was carried out based on the number of buildings that had changed. According to him, the shape of the buildings in the Kesawan area should be maintained.

"We see, as long as it is supposed to be preserved, it has changed a lot. We will return it to a cultural heritage, which must be an old building, we will return it again," he explained.

To make it happen, Bobby Nasution invited all people to participate in maintaining the existence of cultural heritage in Medan. Moreover, most of the cultural heritage buildings are owned by the community.

"Medan City Government, will not be able to maintain cultural heritage without collaboration from the community. I have communicated with the community and continue to communicate," he explained.

Later, said Bobby, Medan City Government will make the concept of the Kesawan area into a tourism spot. Then, to support economic recovery during the pandemic, the area will be earmarked for MSMEs.

"For the management of MSMEs, first. We fix the infrastructure first, the buildings, then we input the MSME there," said Bobby.

At the end of last week, Bobby Nasution administered the COVID-19 vaccination in Medan City, which was held at several points, namely Terminal Ampas, Pinang Baris Terminal, Sei Kambing Market, Tikung Johor Market.

Vaccination for the community is focused on transportation drivers and market traders with the hope that they can have strong immunity and avoid the spread of COVID-19, thereby providing a sense of security to the community when using public transportation and buying and selling transactions in the market.

Likewise, President Jokowi's eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, did the same. After being inaugurated, Friday, February 26, Gibran immediately stepped on the gas to blusukan (visiting).
