JAKARTA - Residents of Ciracas, East Jakarta, were shocked by the discovery of a man's corpse in a red shirt and black pants at Gongseng River, Sunday, March 3, noon.

The victim was found caught in a mound on the side of the river.

Half of the victim's body is still submerged in the water flow. The victim allegedly fell into the flow of the river.

"There were bodies, all residents came out. The bridge was suddenly crowded to witness the discovery of the corpse," said Amir (47), a resident around the scene.

However, a number of residents who came to the location where the bodies were found, none of them recognized the victim's face.

"No one knows yet," he said.

This discovery was then reported to the Ciracas Police. The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ciracas Police who received the report immediately went to the scene.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ciracas Police, AKP Fadoli, confirmed the information.

His party is still checking the crime scene.

"I just wanted to check. (Identification process) Not yet, again removed and investigated first (the victim's body)," said AKP Fadoli when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, March 3.
